I went to the dentists today and had a very traumatic time. I have to go every week for the next three weeks to boot. So what's a girl to do? Find out what doughnut she is, of course...

You Are a Glazed Donut
Okay, you know that you're plain - and you're cool with that. You prefer not to let anything distract from your sweetness.Your appeal is understated yet universal. Everyone dig you.And in a pinch, you'll probably get eaten.

I went along to the Topshop Kate Moss opening last night. We got in line with the masses and were handed our wristbands, for an 8.40 entry, but it was only 6.45. There are many things I will do for fashion:

Walk in painful heels - check

Wear very tight belts to give a waist - check

Freeze at night in cute little jackets - check

Trip up in maxi dresses - check

But I will not, no, cannot, go without my dinner and a good sit down at the end of the day. So although we had our wrist bands, our kate moss goody bags and plenty of sweeties, we decided we were slightly too old and slightly too cool to be waiting all night for the bleeding privilege of buying a few new dresses. So we left and had dinner and booze in a lovely little cocktail bar. Then I went home via Borders and bought a great book about the invention of the Underground map.

I realised that I have not been to TK Maxx in over 3 months. This is clearly madness. I have resolved to go tomorrow, but there is also a sneaking little nag in the back of my mind that is trying to get me to go to Christian Louboutin and buy shoes instead. Who should I listen to? Either way I'll spend a big whack, just one will be on lots of stuff (out of which I'll wear two things to death and another 10 that will gather dust) or one single item that I'll probably never wear, but I'll get of the box and just gaze down on. Toughie.

Thank You Viv

I have a new bag - I was actually shopping for my Mum's present, which in all fairness I did get, but I couldn't stop myself from buying a Vivienne Westwood bag in Liberty's. It is much smaller than my YSL Muse or Luella handbag, so I thought that it was worth snapping up - my reasoning be that less space will create a more judicious decision making process about what goes inside. My normal bags weigh a ton and contain everything from makeup bag, hair brush and diary to an umbrella, gloves, sunnies, tupperware with homemade dips - it bascially gets a bit silly and I actually pull muscles every time I carry them.

I still love Zara most of all

Even with all the booze the night before I still managed to rock it in Zara. That is the sign of a good shop I think, when even a cracking headache can't stop the clothes from being a hit. I was rather pleased with my purchases - two pairs of summer shoes (flat, black patent with a perspex insert - sooo now, sooo Chanel, and blue sandals), three dresses and a white linen Isabella Rossellini shirt. Now all I need is the weather to change and allow for bare legs, exposes tootsies and perhaps a light tan.

Oh, and my dad, lovely man that he is, bought me a new watch. A J12! This is truly exciting, but I have to get it refitted and everytime I go into Chanel I just want more. Like the perspex bag - it's so naff it's great and I'd love the challenge of having a bag in which all the contents are perfectly edited for their beauty as well as functionality.

I feel like I should take the time to quickly out myself as a Lindsay Lohan fan. If I don't do it now it will just get harder and harder to tell you, and our whole relationship will have been a lie. It all started with Mean Girls, then the Perezhilton blog back when it was called Page Six or whatever and he began posting pictures of her on the set of Just My Luck (a truly awful film, even if I did blag premiere tickets and see it for free). I just love her clothes, her clearly twisted life and all those fabulous poses she does to the camera when she's out having a gay old time.

Just Another Saturday

Gosh, this blogging thing is a bit strange isn't it? I could tell you that I've just paid a visit to Cos - the new store on Regent Street that opening yesterday, or that I found out that Abercrombie and Fitch opens on the 22nd of March, but I can't think why you be the faintest bit interested in these facts. Cos was great in that is impeccably done - the floor was what got my mother going, it is just divine. The clothes seem fab - great basics, lovely colours and reasonable prices. But as alwasy I have an issue...the blocks on colour are just too overwhelming for browsing, one can't see what the clothes are because it just looks like a lump white, camel or yellow. They've got to break things up more, I suggest thier floor merchandiser takes a trip to Zara, still the best on the high street as far as my expert opinion goes.
